Az alaptörvény hetedik módosításával és a Népszabadság tulajdonosváltásával kapcsolatban foglalkozott Magyarországgal hétvégi számában a Le Monde.

A francia balliberális lap szerint az alaptörvény azon módosítása, amely kizárná, hogy az Európai Unió felső korlát nélkül hajthasson végre kényszerbetelepítést Magyarországra, “nem egyszerűen öt kis cikkely, hanem egy szándékosan Brüsszel idegesítésére összeállított intézkedés” a kvótareferendumot követően.

A lap idézte Gulyás Gergelyt, a parlament törvényalkotási bizottságának fideszes elnökét, aki szerint a módosítás megfelel az európai és nemzetközi jognak. A képviselő elmondta, hogy az Európai Uniónak a menedékkérők áthelyezésére vonatkozó programja nem megvalósítható, miután az eddig áthelyezett 5 ezer migráns nyolcvan százaléka nem is tartózkodik abban az országban, amely elfogadta, hogy átveszi őket. “Ez nevetségessé teszi az Európai Uniót és megerősíti Magyarország álláspontját” – idézte Gulyást a lap, amely szerint a Jobbik is osztja ezt a véleményt, de a letelepedési kötvény megszüntetéséhez kötötte az alaptörvény-módosítás támogatását.

Gulyás Gergely arra hívta fel a figyelmet, hogy a Jobbik felhívása előtt már több miniszter is beszélt a letelepedési kötvény eltörléséről. A lap arra is kitért, hogy a miniszterelnök az LMP szavazataira is számít, amelyekkel meg lehetne az elfogadáshoz szükséges kétharmados többség, s akkor a Jobbik támogatására már nem is lenne szükség.

A Népszabadság tulajdonosváltásával kapcsolatban a Le Monde idézte Pető Péter főszerkesztő-helyettest, aki szerint “Orbán Viktor miniszterelnök a legnagyobb ellenzéki lapot letörölte a térképről, és a szerkesztőséget, amely az egész sajtó számára forrásaként szolgált, feldarabolta”. Álláspontja szerint a Népszabadság sorsa fordulópont a magyar demokrácia történetében, amely a Fidesz 2010-es újbóli hatalomra kerülése óta egyre nehezebb helyzetben van.

A tudósító megemlítette, hogy a bezárás után a lapot felvásárló Opimus Press Zrt. alig fél éve alakult és nem rendelkezik semmilyen tapasztalattal az újságírásban. A Le Monde megjegyezte, hogy Magyarországon a lakosság jelentős többsége nem beszél idegen nyelveket, nem az internetről, hanem a televízióból tájékozódik, márpedig a közmédia csatornái a kormánytól függnek, s csak az RTL Klubra nincs befolyása Orbán Viktornak.

A tudósító megjegyezte, hogy Magyarország öt év alatt 48 helyet esett vissza az országokat a sajtószabadság alapján rangsoroló listán, amire egyetlen más uniós országban sem volt példa.
