Rekordmértékű hazánk államadóssága///The public debt of our country is at a record level

GAZDASÁGKÖZÉLETFrissítve: 2020 nov 23.

Orbán Viktor miniszterelnök.

Íme a tények az Európai Unió felmérése alapján.

Megugrott Magyarország államadóssága, átírta a makropályát a koronavírus-járvány, írja a Világgazdaság.

Here are the facts based on a survey of the European Union.

Hungary’s public debt jumped, the coronary virus epidemic rewrote the macro trajectory, writes the World Economy.

The paper quotes the announcement of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB), according to which government debt rose to 71.9 percent in June, most recently at the end of 2018. The fact that the budget had to be rewritten due to the epidemic played a major role in the growth.

In the second quarter of 2020, the general government closed with a deficit of HUF 1,837 billion, after reaching one of the largest deficits of all time in June with a deficit of HUF 785.5 billion. GDP fell by 13.5 percent year-on-year in the second quarter, but foreign currency bond issuance and the weakening of the forint also dampened debt as a share of GDP.

This article presents the development of key government finance statistics in the European Union (EU) and the euro area (EA-19). Within this, it deals with the budget (general government) deficit, gross government debt, general government revenue and general government expenditure, as well as tax revenues and social security contributions, which are the main sources of general government revenue.
