A magyar kormány 2010 óta szisztematikusan, a piac manipulálásával igyekszik elhallgattatni a kritikus sajtótermékeket – hangzott el a közelmúltban tartott, Newsocracy című, a közszolgálati média jövőjével kiemelten foglalkozó nemzetközi konferencián.
Félre kellene tenni a politikai meggyőződést.

Közmédiaviszonyok: férj felügyeli a feleséget

Eltiltotta a bíróság a Kossuth Rádió csatornaigazgatóját a cégvezetéstől három évre – írta a Media1.hu.

70 percent of people say public media is important, but many will believe it is the government’s mouthpiece – a Southeast European survey was presented at a professional conference.

Since 2010, the Hungarian government has been systematically trying to silence critical press products by manipulating the market, according to a recent international conference on Newsocracy, which focuses on the future of public service media. “Today in the European Union, Hungary has the most elaborate and comprehensive system of public service media serving the interests of the government, regardless of legality, fairness and reality,” said Judit Bayer, associate professor at the Budapest University of Economics, European Center for One of the participants of a conference organized by Press and Media Freedom. Although the Hungarian government is “at the forefront” of media occupation in the EU, addressing the political influence of the public service media is not a priority in the European Commission. According to the expert, this is simply because they are not sufficiently aware of the problem: “The government is different in Brussels than in Hungary, so the majority of MEPs do not know the extent to which the public service media is brainwashed with its news on migration, for example. . And, in fact, what happens to the Eastern European media is often below the stimulus threshold for the European Commission, ”he said.
Attila Mong, a journalist who attended Kossuth Radio’s 180 Minutes in December 2010, attended the conference with a one-minute silence on the adoption of the new media law. He said of the occupation of the press: “It was already felt that the new law would centralize content production and seriously shake hands with journalists. Cases that were not commented on by the ministry could not be broadcast. Attila Mong’s contract was not renewed after the events, he is no longer working in Hungary, he went to America with a scholarship and then settled in Berlin. . On the question of what could be the way out of the situation in Hungary, Judit Bayer replied that the European Commission could initiate proceedings against the operation of the Hungarian public service media contrary to EU law, but this has not yet been done with diplomatic caution. In addition, he said, change could not be achieved only through EU procedures and investigations. He thought it would be a great help, for example, if young people were taught about democracy and how it works, and now they know little about it. “Many of the basic mechanisms are not known to be stuck with the feudal system. In addition, Viktor Orban plays the role of Prime Minister, ”said Judit Bayer. The expert also came to the conclusion that the journalistic society also has a responsibility. “The culture of journalism should also be changed. Many consider it to be journalistic freedom if they can decide for themselves which party they favor in their writings. Political conviction should be set aside. Objectivity has to be kept in mind. ”Another issue is that even the fairest journalist today is confronted with walls: politicians do not speak to the media they do not like, press staff have to go to the basics, which they often – abusing information The conference also said that while Hungarian media relations are blatant, there are similar problems in many other countries in eastern and south-eastern Europe: in Poland, the government also uses public service media and in Greece, too. power has expanded. Ramona Strugariu, Romanian MEP at the conference, said: – Many people see it as clear that in a democracy the media are free, whereas in some European countries this is not the case today. There are also many troubles in Romania: journalists are often denied information and pressed for what to write and what not to write. And politicians often think that some media is theirs. There is no such thing, the media cannot belong to parties, institutions, the free press must convey the truth and be based on facts. The conference presented a recent study of ten countries in Southeastern Europe. According to this, 70% of respondents consider the functioning of the public service media important in democracy. But just as many will believe that the public media is actually the government’s mouthpiece.

Media relations: husband supervises wife
Kossu was banned by the court. The court banned Kossuth Radio’s channel director for three years from managing the company – wrote Media1.hu. Marianna Mucsányi said that the accountant of her company had made a mistake earlier on the issue of the specialty portal and that the company in question had not really worked. Media1.hu also asked if Marianna Mucsányi felt that her husband, Károly Szadai, was a member of the Media Council’s Board of Trustees but did not want to comment.
