A hitközség vezetője szerint hazugság, hogy szó nélkül hagyták a borsodi jobbikos jelölt indulását.

„Azért szemeltek ki engem céltáblának, mert a szervezetünket így lehet a legkönnyebben gyengíteni. Legalábbis így gondolták. Mint a bowlingban – a középső bábut kell jól eltalálni, hogy dőljön az egész”– így magyarázta Heisler András a Válasz Online-nak adott interjújában, hogy miért indult ellene és a Magyarországi Zsidó Hitközségek Szövetsége (Mazsihisz) ellen kormányzati szinten is támogatott kampány a médiában. „Ma egészen elképesztő dolgok történnek a zsidó közéletben” – tette hozzá ennek kapcsán a rabbi.  Heisler, mint a szövetség elnöke, alapvetően Köves Slomóék körét tartja a támadássorozat forrásának. Szerinte a Mazsihisz belső ellenzéke és Kövesék szervezete alapvetően összeér, és a magyar kormányt szerinte ez a csoport informálja rosszul, hamisan a szövetség belső ügyeiről. Bár Köves Slomó köztudottan a kormánnyal jó kapcsolatot ápoló Egységes Magyarországi Izraelita Hitközség  (Emih) vezetője, Heisler az interjúban nem említette ezt a tényt, és név szerint az Emihet sem – kizárólag egy ellenük dolgozó körről beszélt. A beszélgetés során a Mazsihisz elnöke családi kapcsolathoz hasonlította a szervezet és kormány viszonyát, amiben a családtagok hol kiabálnak, hol megölelik egymást. A hasonlatnál maradva, ilyen „ölelésnek” tekinthető, hogy az Orbán-kabinet 3,6 milliárd forinttal támogatta az interjúnak is helyszínül szolgáló Rumbach Sebestyén utcai zsinagóga felújítását. Heisler András azt is elmondta, szerinte miért volt indokolt rengeteg közpénzt áldozni a Dohány utcai zsinagógától pár száz méterre található épületre. Hangsúlyozta ugyanakkor, hogy  a kényelmetlen helyzetekben is jelzik véleményüket:„amikor nyíltan antiszemita történészeket és közírókat tüntetnek ki, akkor legalább a zsidó közösség felé jeleznünk kell, hogy nekünk ezzel gondunk van” – jegyezte meg.A beszélgetés során szóba került, hogy a magyar miniszterelnök Heisler nyakába varrja, hogy az ellenzék  egy antiszemita kijelentéseket tevő jelöltet indított Borsodban – Orbán Viktor szerint a Mazsihisz elnöke is hibás volt abban, hogy az ellenzéki összefogás Bíró László mögé állhatott, mert nem emelte fel szavát ez ellen.  Heisler András hazugságnak nevezte, hogy nem tiltakozott Bíró indulása miatt: „A Mazsihisz azonnal jelezte, hogy antiszemita, rasszista jelöltek számunkra elfogadhatatlanok. Hogy az ellenzéki összefogás egésze ellen is nyilatkozzunk, addig valóban nem mentünk el – az ugyanis már nem a mi kompetenciánk. “I was singled out as a target because this is the easiest way to weaken our body. At least that’s what they thought. As in bowling, the middle puppet has to be hit well to make it all fall, ”András Heisler explained in an interview with Answer Online why he started a campaign against him and the government-supported association of the Hungarian Jewish Community (Mazsihisz) in the media. . “Amazing things are happening in Jewish public life today,” the rabbi added. Heisler, as president of the alliance, basically sees Köves Slomo’s circle as the source of the series of attacks. According to him, the internal opposition of Mazsihisz and the organization of the Kövesék are basically in contact, and according to him, this group informs the Hungarian government poorly and falsely about the internal affairs of the association. Although Slomó Köves is known to be the leader of the United Hungarian Jewish Community (Emih), which maintains good relations with the government, Heisler did not mention this fact in the interview, nor did he mention Emih by name – only about a circle working against them. During the conversation, the president of Mazsihisz likened the relationship between the organization and the government to a family relationship, in which family members shout and hug each other. Remaining with the analogy, it can be considered such an “embrace” that the Orbán Cabinet supported the renovation of the Rumbach Sebestyén Street Synagogue, which is also the location of the interview, with HUF 3.6 billion. András Heisler also explained why he thought it was justified to sacrifice a lot of public money for the building a few hundred meters from the Dohány Street Synagogue. However, he emphasized that they also expressed their opinion in awkward situations: “when openly anti-Semitic historians and public writers are honored, we must at least signal to the Jewish community that we have a problem with that,” he said. Heisler sews around the neck that the opposition has launched an anti-Semitic candidate in Borsod – Viktor Orbán said the president of Mazsihisz was also wrong that the opposition coalition could have been behind László Bíró because he had not raised his word against it. András Heisler called it a lie that he did not protest against Judge’s departure: “Mazsihisz immediately signaled that anti-Semitic, racist candidates were unacceptable to us. We have not really gone so far as to speak out against the opposition as a whole – it is no longer our competence. On a value basis, we say what we consider credible or unreliable, but we cannot have party political considerations, ”he explained.
